I can highly recommend Milan Thomas, both as a excellent surgeon and a caring person. He listens to any concerns you may have and puts you at ease when discussing your medical condition. I trust him implicitly and feel very fortunate to be in his care. He has a wonderful smile which immediately puts you at ease and I look forward to my appointments with him. I had a large mass on my left kidney (which was cancer) and he removed the whole kidney and attached mass in February 2019. Fortunately no further treatment was necessary and I have been able to lead a completely normal life since the surgery. Thank you Milan - I am so grateful to you - as are my wife and family.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for my recent experience with the nhs for the speed and diligence with which my scans were followed through which led to my early diagnosis of a kidney tumour. My greatest thanks to Mr Thomas for his expertise in saving my kidney with so little blood loss, and his respect for my conscience with regards to non blood surgery. For my short stay in hospital I thank all the nurses for the excellent care I had to aid my recovery.

I was diagnosed with kidney cancer in late December and had an appointment with mr Thomas on the 2nd January, because of my advanced cancer Mr Thomas preformed the operation on the 6th January with the di-Vinci robot. Because of the rare kidney cancer, Mr Thomas told me that this was one of the few examples of this type of kidney cancer that he had operated on. Both my left kidney and the ureter had to be removed

Following the discovery of small amounts of urine in my blood, I was referred for a full investigation of the urinary tract, leading to an outpatient appointment at Mr Thomas's clinic. Having suffered no discomfort, I had assumed that no abnormalities would be found. However, a tumour had been discovered on my left kidney. This unfortunate news was imparted by Mr. Thomas in a clear, concise, patient and sympathetic manner with a full and detailed explanation of the treatment options and his assurances of success. Having listened to Mr. Thomas, I felt complete confidence in electing to have surgery for the removal of the tumour. Subsequently, Mr. Thomas carried out the surgery successfully ( partial nephrectomy ) at The Kent and Canterbury Hospital on the 16th December and I was released the following day. Immediately following the operation, Mr. Thomas took time from his obviously busy schedule to telephone my wife and reassure her of the outcome. Today, some 4 weeks following the procedure, I have made a complete recovery and leading a normal full and active life. My sincere thanks to Mr. Thomas both for his obvious medical skill and equally important pastoral approach.

When my father and I first met Mr Thomas, he was honest and concise. He let us know the potential ramifications from the start but maintained that he was confident he could perform the surgery successfully. We left that appointment feeling a lot better than when we first walked in. Mr Thomas performed the surgery along with his fantastic team and successfully removed the tumor. I can never thank Mr Thomas enough for what him and his team done for my father and for giving my father a new lease of life. We'll forever be in Mr Thomas's debt for what he did. He's a fantastic doctor, surgeon and all round a wonderful person.
